By incorporating the Infrant Network Storage Processor (NSP), the ReadyNAS 1000S revolutionizes network storage for the enterprise by offering an ultra-compact, 1U, rack-mount Network Attached Storage Appliance complete with enterprise-level features at an ultra-affordable price.
With four hot-pluggable Serial ATA (SATA) disks, the ReadyNAS 1000S is capable of instantly providing up to 2.0 terabytes of storage at RAID levels 0, 1, or 5. The ReadyNAS 1000S is designed for flexible interoperability with cross-platform support for Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix, Web browsers, and FTP clients.

The ReadyNAS 1000S is equipped with a unique 18 inch deep 1U chassis with disk tray locking mechanisms. By utilizing the Infrant NSP, the product has high reliability, a small size, lower power consumption, and a quieter operation. The terabyte system consumes less than 125 watts of power. With an optional PCI raiser card, mounting kit and spare disk trays, the ReadyNAS 1000S delivers unparalleled price, performance, flexibility, and productivity.
Within minutes it can interoperate with an existing Windows Active Directory Service, allowing seamless and secure access to existing network users. Also, with the embedded Infrant RAIDiator™ OS, the ReadyNAS 1000S can serve any number of users without incurring additional license fees.
Once configured, the built-in alert system constantly monitors the health of the device. Any failure or warning condition is immediately reported, and the ReadyNAS 1000S can monitor the UPS status and automatically shutdown when the battery charge is low to prevent any data loss.
